By Well, they may not exactly be the world’s most technical pieces of furniture but I did get two stools together before the end of today. They still need staining and varnishing but they are fully functional (I have sat on them to them and taken them for a “test drive”) so all is good!
I am am also quietly chuffed that I managed to repair a broken chair from work. Someone had managed to snap the socket for the leg and the chair was heading for the bin. A couple bits of plywood, some “no more nails”, a few nuts and bolts and an assortment of staples and it is pretty much as good as new and heading back to join its friends in the bar. Admittedly this isn’t going to change the world but it stopped something going to landfill unneccessarily and that has to be a good thing.
I have now got a big week ahead of me getting ready for this year’s Fairy Fair at work so unfortunately no time to play, however, having done the stools I will take a few minutes out at some point to think of my next “to do” project. I will let you know what I come up with.
